Why start with one material

Nickel Tabs does not launch as a broad metal catalogue. The service is built for professionals who need samples, prototypes or small batches of pure nickel battery tabs quickly. By limiting the launch scope to 0.15 mm pure nickel, the workflow stays clear: the customer prepares a geometry, the file is checked, the price is calculated, then the part is produced without switching material or thickness.

This avoids common confusion between pure nickel, nickel-plated steel, randomly cut strip and material with uncertain origin. For battery packs, conductive contacts and test pieces, the material must be clear before discussing the shape.

What 0.15 mm changes in the project

0.15 mm is the launch thickness. It is intended for thin tabs, connection bridges, conductive contacts, current outputs and prototype parts that need to remain easy to handle and ship flat.

The service does not replace electrical design work. Width, length, weld pattern, parallel paths and current constraints must be validated by the customer's technical team. Nickel Tabs manufactures the cut shape; it does not validate the full battery architecture.

What to check before drawing

What to avoid

Avoid starting from a hand-cut standard strip when the final part depends on holes, cut-outs or precise passages. Avoid mixing too many needs into one file without a clear structure: prototype, final part, variant and measurement reference should be separated or clearly named.
