Workshop

A focused workshop for pure nickel tabs

Nickel Tabs is built around a simple workshop scope: 0.15 mm pure nickel, DXF-based shapes, small batches and fast turnaround. The goal is not mass production. The goal is to help professionals get clean nickel parts quickly, without cutting strips by hand or waiting weeks for overseas batches.

Workshop scope

Made for small batches, not mass production

The workshop is designed for samples, prototypes, validation parts and small production runs. Nickel Tabs focuses on the parts that usually slow battery projects down: custom tabs, conductive bridges, test contacts, replacement shapes and short-run nickel pieces.

By keeping the launch scope narrow, the process stays clearer. One material, one thickness, one file format and one controlled workflow make it easier to check the geometry, calculate the price and produce the parts quickly.

Cutting process

In-house 40 W laser cutting

Nickel Tabs cuts the parts in-house with a 40 W laser process adapted to the current workshop scope. The objective is controlled, repeatable cutting for thin 0.15 mm pure nickel parts, not a general metal cutting service.

This focused setup helps keep the service fast and understandable. Customers send a DXF, the geometry is checked, the part is priced, then the order can move into cutting, control, flat protection and shipping.

Geometry review

What the workshop checks

Before a part moves forward, the geometry must be readable and compatible with the Nickel Tabs scope. The check is practical: can the file be understood, can the contours be analysed, can the shape be cut, handled and shipped flat?

  • 01 DXF file readability.
  • 02 Closed outer contours.
  • 03 Clean internal cut-outs.
  • 04 Part size within the usable format.
  • 05 Geometry compatible with 0.15 mm pure nickel.
  • 06 No unnecessary construction lines.
  • 07 No duplicate or overlapping cutting paths.
  • 08 Shape suitable for flat protection and shipping.
Workflow

From DXF to shipped parts

The workflow is meant to stay simple. The customer prepares the DXF file. Nickel Tabs checks the geometry before payment. The price is calculated from the cutting surface and the service includes cutting, nickel, packaging and shipping.

Once the part is produced, it is controlled, protected flat and prepared for tracked shipment. Thin nickel pieces are not sent as loose bulk or rolled strip. They are handled as finished parts that need to arrive readable, flat and usable in the workshop.

European service

Made in France, shipped across Europe

Nickel Tabs is a French workshop service for professionals who need speed, clarity and repeatability on small nickel parts. The service is operated from the 40Watts workshop in Guer, France.

The service is built for European customers who prefer a faster local option for samples and short runs instead of long overseas lead times.

The promise is simple: a narrow technical scope, clean DXF-based production, flat packaging and fast dispatch when the file is ready.

Responsibility boundary

What Nickel Tabs does not do

Nickel Tabs is not a custom engineering office, a battery design service or a mass-production supplier. The workshop does not validate the electrical architecture of a pack, the welding strategy or the safety of the final battery assembly.

The customer remains responsible for the pack design, current paths, insulation, welding parameters and final use. Nickel Tabs provides the cut pure nickel part according to the supplied geometry and workshop scope.

Prepare your DXF before ordering

A clean file makes the workshop faster. Start with the DXF preparation guide before sending a part for analysis.
